Yes, it is about time!

I hadn't realized it had been over two months since I've posted. As you've all noticed, I am terrible at not only posting, but also emailing any type of picture to ANYONE. So far this spring has been quite eventful...well, really April and May, but that's most of our spring since I think we still had snow in April. So here is an update of everything that's happened the last little while...including getting the car back after I immasculated the poor thing. Here are some pictures of how it looks NOW. I couldn't bear to take pictures of the damage I put the beast through, so there aren't any of those...(just imagine the grill and headlights missing with all four corners punched in, and a couple tires blown out so it's lopsided).

We pulled out Gav's old bike, since he'd been begging to ride it, and...the bike was so small Gav's knees were up under his chin...so I guess it was time to buy a new bike. But, of course, he needs to have a cool bike helmet to go with it!

This seems to be the face I get when I take pictures, so it's pretty much become the standard "cheese" face.
Easter this year was pretty fun. Our neighborhood (another reason why I love the area we live in) had it's own little easter egg hunt on the Saturday morning before Easter. After they turned all the kids loose to find eggs, Gavin couldn't decide which egg he wanted! I guess we're still getting the hang of these holiday things!

After the egg hunt, we had to empty the plastic eggs so they could re-use them for next year and I could hardly get the eggs emptied fast enough for Gavin to gobble up the candy.

Easter morning, Gavin woke up and completely forgot about the Easter bunny. Todd and I had to remind him, but the Easter bunny had hidden Gav's basket, and he was pretty disgruntled when he found Todd's basket, but couldn't find his. He also got to do his very own egg hunt in the front yard on Easter morning. Some of the eggs had money in them instead of candy, and he was not so sure about the Easter bunny filling the eggs with money. Silly boy!

He's decided his favorite Easter candies are malted milk balls, and Peeps! He had so many peeps this year that there are still some up in the cupboard!

Poor Shelby was just so worn out from Easter morning!!

The adoption was official on April 7, 2009. So Gav is legally a Shumaker now, and we're so excited!

Todd's family (his parents, two sisters, brother in law, and grandmother) came out for a week in May, for our sealing. Todd, Gavin, and I were sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple on May 12, 2009, on our one year anniversary!

The wind was blowing SO hard that day it was really hard to keep the hair out of my face!

It was great to have everyone come out for a visit, especially so Gavin could get to know all of Todd's family better. Most of the trip wasn't planned, with the exception of May 12, but we ended up going up to West Yellowstone, which noone in Todd's family had ever been, and also to Salt Lake City where Gav got to go to Chuck E. Cheese.

I beat Todd at both throwing basketballs, AND air hockey.

Here is the family minus a Holly and Granddaddy, at Old Faithful in Yellowstone.

Jodi I'm so happy for you and your family. That's some very exciting news! I was grinning from ear-to-ear when I read the part about Gaving getting adopted, and then the 3 of you going to the temple. There's no greater comfort than knowing that your family can be together forever. The Sealing Power is the strongest thing on this earth. It's stronger than death, and even stronger than sin. It's something that I can't even comprehend, but is such a comfort especially when tough times come around. I am so happy for you! Congratulations!
