Pinball

Well I'm not quite sure how to start this entry, quite honestly. I've decided that things in my life, lately anyway, have been anything but boring. I've resigned to the fact that just when I feel like everything is going to settle down, or my body will finally get a chance to heal....SOMETHING else will always happen. Case in point: Yesterday I had a doctor's appointment in Blackfoot, which is about 25 minutes north of Pocatello (why not choose a doctor in Pocatello? Because I refuse to go to the hospital here). Initially I was going to drive my car to the appointment, since my car is better on gas, however, it needed gas, and I didn't have time to stop. So, I took the Armada. Well I was in too much of a hurry, and wasn't taking the precautions I should have been for winter driving conditions, and I hit a patch of black ice and lost control of the car. I slammed into the guardrail along the right side, catapulted towards the left lane guardrail, hit another car, and we both spun around in both lanes, and I basically "pinballed" between the guardrails. I remember hitting them at least three times, but I'm still kinda fuzzy on everything that happened. Luckily, we, myself and the other driver, are OK! However, Todd's car, the tank, was pretty mangled. The tow-truck driver told us that he thought the car would be totalled....
I had a ROUGH day yesterday! I felt TERRIBLE for wrecking Todd's favorite car. But I have THE best husband, and he didn't get mad at me AT ALL. I guess he loves me more than his car :-)
I thought about taking a picture of the remodels I had done to Todd's car, but everytime I looked at the car yesterday it made me cry...so I didn't capture any mementos of my 5 second project.
Considering the damage that I'd inflicted on his poor car....I only came out with an aggravated back. Now that it's the day after, I'm feeling the accident more than I did yesterday, plus I had to go into work today, but I consider myself very lucky.
There is good news though, well besides the fact that I'm ok...and luckily Gavin wasn't with me during all of this...but today I got to talk to the owner of the bodyshop, and he said that the insurance adjuster had been out, and the car is NOT TOTALLED! Hallelujah! Not to mention, I thought it would be in the shop for a long time, cuz I really messed it up....but it will only be in the shop for about 12 days...YAY! I was SO happy when he told me all of this that I wanted to run around and celebrate, but...my back hurts, so I'm not running anywhere.
So, what I thought was a tragedy yesterday, actually is turning out OK so far. Thank heaven for my husband who keeps telling me it will turn out ok, and for him being so patient with me.
So in conclusion, I have decided that I am my own worst enemy. Who needs enemies when everything that happens to me is done by myself! HAHAHA!
Oh and by the way, Happy Valentine's Day!

Jodi! I can't believe you! It's true you are always getting into trouble! I'm so glad to hear that you're okay. I just have to tell you something. I want you to know that whenever somebody says, "whatever floats your boat" to me, I ALWAYS think of YOU and how you say, "whatever blows your skirt up". Just thought you might wanna know. You'd think it wouldn't happen that much. But it does. And I ALWAYS think of you. Miss you lots!

JODI!!!! I'm so glad you are ok! No wonder you were having a sad day. And of course Todd was more worried about you than the car. . .he's used to dealing with messed up cars. . . I think Lisa's car has probably totally been replaced a couple times piece by piece.
