We signed the paperwork, yesterday, for Todd to adopt Gavin!!! The actual court hearing to make everything final is on April 7, 2009. Everything should be taken care by the time Todd and I go to the Temple, so that Gavin can be sealed to us as well! It was very exciting signing the adoption petition, knowing that soon Gavin will be Todd's legal son. Todd's been so great with Gavin anyway, most people who don't know about the whole situation think Todd is his natural father anyway (blonde hair, blue eyes...). It's just a great feeling!!!!!!
We should be getting the Armada back by the end of this week, I'm hoping. I've had a rental car to drive, but I'm missing the Armada. It's been a month since the accident, and everything's turned out OK, luckily. At one point, the car was totalled, then Todd informed them that they did the estimate on the wrong model......so.....it's getting fixed (obviously). It will be nice to have it back.
I've been seeing a chiropractor several times a week since the car accident, and my back is slowly healing. I only walk like a 90 year old SOMETIMES now, instead of...well...all the time. It was pretty sad there for a while! At my first appointment, the chiropractor looked at the length of both my legs, and my left leg was an inch shorter than my right. No wonder I always veered to the left on the treadmill! Now that my legs are both the same length, I don't have as much of a problem staying in the middle of it...lol...I can let go fo the handles on the side now!!!
Gavin's been up at my mom's house for the last 4 1/2 days (I had to work and my babysitter was on a cruise), and having a ball. My mom and sister took him snowmobiling..his first trip ever. My mom took him to buy gloves and a facemask the day before, and found that none of the children's facemasks would fit. He ended up wearing MY old facemask! Sad to say, he got the big head from me, I think! I'll have to post some pictures as soon as I get them from my mother. He got to go to the library, and he always manages to have so much fun up at Grandma's house.
An update on my weight loss...I've lost 25 lbs! Yay! This is the longest I've actually stuck with any type of program, and with the exception of a trip to Red Robin, I've been doing pretty good following it.
Todd is doing well, just working at Costco! We've been starting to make plans for the yard when it warms up, and other plans for what we'd like to do with the house when we can afford it. He gets pretty excited about lights and ceiling fans and pressure washers. :-)
