Todd's grandmother, Gigi, is an amazing seamstress. She LOVES making quilts and cross-stitching, and I'm sure has made hundreds of quilts over the years. It's wonderful to see how excited she gets about different quilting patterns, and fabric. While she was out here in May, she asked Gavin what he would like his quilt to look like, and she left with a few ideas. Today, Gavin got his quilt in the mail.
When Gigi makes fun quilts like these, she never uses a pattern. She sees a picture and then amazingly transforms the picture into the quilt...so no two quilts are ever the same. I was in awe of the detail. Each little piece is cut from different fabric and sewn on..it's just amazing! Gavin's truly a lucky little boy to have such a beautiful quilt made with such love by his Gigi.
Thank you Gigi!
